This was in a few ways a much more productive day, although it had some extremely frustrating elements.  DS and DN picked me up in the morning, and we went to the rental office … only to be told, once again, the lease wasn’t ready for signing.  We were told that the “reason” was that no one (meaning DN or myself) had told them whether or not the cat would be coming with us.  What???  When I went in last week and had the guy give me a break down of the expenses, I said OK.  I wanted to give him a check then for the pet deposit, but he said it had to all be paid at once on the 15th.  Now I want to know … WHAT part of that even hinted that there was any possibility of the cat not coming???   We were all 3 severely annoyed (I’m being “nice”).   We did go by the bank and I gave DN the rest of my share of deposits.  DS took DN back to her apartment.  Then we went to a storage facility that is on a bus route, and put my name on a waiting list (and was assured having a unit available by the end of August was no problem).  Next we went by the UHaul place.  DS had looked online and it said nothing was available; but when we got there, there was no problem at all reserving a trailer.  So that’s all taken care of at least.  DS took me by her house and gave me lunch, then took me on home.  She also had some very good suggestions for me regarding some of the things I’m trying to get rid of!
While out, DB called .. they may have a buyer for the freezer.  I need to dig out the owner’s manual (pretty sure I came across that when sorting all that paperwork), check what brand name it is.
Later in the evening DN called to let me know the lease has been fixed and she has signed.  I just have to make a THIRD trip to town to sign it!!

I didn’t actually get anything packed, but I did at least work on getting a few areas cleared again.  I also looked at my “to do” list … and added more things that needed to be on it.  So it’s getting longer instead of shorter, which is really scary!!  I have 50 things to get done in 19 days.  And at least 14 of those are things that require help of one sort or another (either a ride somewhere, or help with reading/identifying something).

TGF had said she would come by with BGS16 to help get some things out of tall cabinets.  But it was after 7:00 before they got here (she’d had fires to put out too), and I was too tired to deal with the cabinets.  But they did take at least 3 large boxes of yardsale stuff, plus all the trash.  She also said she would come early enough tomorrow (doctor appointment) to go by to sign the lease on the way.   I think perhaps I will go on and take the computer with me, on the off chance of getting it to BB to fix.  It’s very frustrating to not have my email.  But it’s horrible to not be able to access my bank account!!  I can call and get a balance; but I need to see (usually every day) exactly what has cleared.  So getting the computer fixed really is urgent.

I was so tired I don’t even remember what was on TV; nothing much I thnk.  I went to sleep soon after 10:00, and slept very soundly .. until 4:00. L  Now, of course, I’m wide awake.  I have been for awhile now .. a sink full of dishes washed, and I’m ready for another cup of coffee.  And it’s not even close to daylight yet.  Oh, and also did my best to send out the “family” version of the newsletter … because if there’s a button for “blind copies” I have no idea where it is.  I had to cull email address together as best I could (most of them because DIL looked them up for me) and create a list I could copy to get in the “to” box.

I;m supposed to call SIL about coming over today.  I think I should have called her yesterday, but too much on my mind to even think of that.  She had said she’d come “Tuesday or Wednesday” .. but tomorrow is out because I won’t be here.  Maybe it will wait until later in the week.  She wants to help me go through stuff from upstairs; but I really think I need to at least finish the paperwork project before starting something else!  Besides, until I finish that ther’s stuff all over the living room floor.
This afternoon the insurance agent is coming by for my “annual review” of my something or other.  I can’t even remember what it is.  I had actually forgotten he had promised to do that.  Oh, and that reminds me .. something else that needs to be on my list … I have to take care of making sure my beneficiary information on my insurance policies is up to date.  I believe the guy today can help with that; I didn’t want to do it until I had my new address, so all of that can be taken care of today.  I hope.


Awake or not, I’m on the edge of headachy.  I have way too much to get done to have time to feel bad, so I think I’ll settle back and see if I can get another hour of sleep before starting in on this day.
